Request Spotter account and data deletion
Email an account-deletion request
Review and send the email yourself. Opening this link does not send a request or delete data.

1. Start a request
Spotter is operated by WANG JUNFENG, Individual developer, China. Email wjf326@gmail.com with the subject "Spotter account deletion request" and ask to delete your Spotter account and its associated server data. This covers the formal Spotter account used by the app and website, or an anonymous service identity where identifiable. It does not delete your Google account.
You do not have to sign in, pay, keep a subscription, create another account or install the app to request deletion. The email link opens your mail app; check and send the message yourself. Opening a composer, preparing text, copying or sharing is not proof of sending, receipt or completed deletion.
2. Help locate the right account safely
If available, include the Service ID shown in the app and the Google email associated with the Spotter account. Settings > Spotter account > Request account deletion, or Settings > Privacy and data > Request account deletion, can prepare the identifying context in supported versions. Older versions can use Copy privacy request and explicitly ask for account deletion. Review the target before sending.
If signed out or without the app/device, contact us from a reachable email address with non-sensitive details that can help locate the record. Tell us if this concerns an older or test build if you know it. You can request deletion even when the Service ID is unavailable. A Service ID or an email written in a message is not, by itself, proof of ownership.
We verify ownership and the correct service environment before acting and may ask for proportionate clarification through a safe channel. Never send passwords, verification codes, authentication/App Check tokens, API keys, full purchase tokens, payment-card details or unrelated identity documents.
3. What the request covers
We review the Spotter authentication identity/profile and Google sign-in association, associated non-essential service and recognition-result records, account/usage/entitlement data and support correspondence we control. Formal App and website entitlements belong to the same Spotter account, so a verified request is not limited to just the screen where you started it. Test service records are separate and must be identified accurately.
Limited purchase, refund, accounting, security or dispute records may need retention for a specific legal obligation, fraud prevention or unresolved claim. We confirm the result and explain any retained categories, the reason and applicable period or criteria. We address deletion obligations of processors acting for us as part of the verified request. Independent payment-provider obligations and provider backups may have separate retention; we do not promise to erase records outside our control or immediate physical deletion everywhere.
Minimal service-identifier suppression records, including hashed identifiers and restricted account-indexed block records, may be retained during controlled handling of a verified deletion to prevent delayed payment, recognition or reconciliation events, or an old sign-in session, from recreating or accessing removed service data. These records remain personal data associated with a service account; hashing does not make an identifier anonymous. They are used to enforce the deletion and are not active entitlements. We explain the purpose and applicable retention period or criteria in the response.
We respond under the rules applicable to your request and explain any verification, exception or additional time needed. There is no automatic deletion just because you copy a request or stop using the account. Requests for access, correction or deletion of particular data without closing the account can use the same email.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Deleting a Spotter account does not automatically cancel a subscription or issue a refund, and may end access to its Spotter entitlements. You can still submit a deletion request with an active subscription. Manage it through the original provider, or contact us for help before access ends.
For Google Play purchases, use the purchasing Google account: https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
For a website purchase through Paddle, use the receipt's management link or Paddle buyer support: https://paddle.net
Refunds follow the provider's process and applicable law; this page creates no additional unconditional refund period. A Google account, Paddle account or payment provider's financial records are not themselves deleted by deleting the Spotter service account.
5. Local diaries and exported files
A request does not remotely erase diaries, photos, trips, routes, saved creations, local upgrade protection copies or exports/backups on your devices. Spotter does not keep a cloud diary that can remove these files for you. Export anything to keep, then delete local entries or clear Android app storage separately. Clearing storage removes the app's local content and private upgrade copies. Original gallery photos and files already exported or shared elsewhere are separate.
Signing out, uninstalling or clearing local/browser storage does not itself delete server account records or cancel subscriptions. See the privacy policy for the local cache and temporary-result expiry details.
